Ruru Morepork Print

The Ruru or Morepork is New Zealand's only surviving native owl.  It is known for its haunting, melancholic call.  In Māori tradition, the Ruru was seen as a watchful guardian. Ana Lee Bergius is an artist living and working in the Catlins, New Zealand.  Inspiration is drawn from her natural surroundings as well as her Maori/European heritage.
